In August, 2010 Gallatin Public Utilities began construction of a biosolids processing facility at its wastewater treatment plant. This project consisted of three centrifuges with ancillary pumps, a polymer feed system, solids grinders, conveyors, and a lime stabilization system.

The biosolids being produced at the Gallatin Wastewater Treatment Plant meets or exceeds all Federal and State biosolids quality standards for a Class A biosolids. Our high quality biosolids is a digested, lime stabilized material meeting the United States Environmental Protection Agency requirements for a "Exceptional Quality (EQ)" biosolids. Analysis of the biosolids is performed by a certified laboratory on a routine bimonthly schedule.
